Notes |
Of Low House, according to Dorothea Mewburn-Watson (could that be at Binchester, Bishop Auckland? or Low House Farm, Etherly, Bishop Auckland? or Low House farm, Spennymoor?).
There is a record in the National Burial Register for a George in 1764, that may be him though the date of 13 June cannot be right.
York Wills (LDS film) has a will dated 2.7.1764 and proved 27.7.1764. It mentions a leashold farm held under Sir Bryan Stappleton and identifies brother William, brother Henry, butcher,of Sunderland, mother Elizabeth. Winessed by Chas Bisset, Geog Snowden, W Wilson.
Date of death from Diary of Wm Mewburn.
