    • Lived at Glasnakille Farm, near Elgol.
      Will made in 1849. Personal estate placed in trust (son Norman was one of the trustees). After his death the trust had to set aside enough to support son Charles for the rest of his life (implying Charles could not look after himself). Then the remainder was to be shared equally between sons Alexander, Lachlan and Norman, the children of son Archibald, and then daughter Catherine. Archibald's children were to be cut out if he made any claim.

      Deed of Settlement - places all estate into trust. First my lease or right to the Farm and Lands of Glasnakille as provided to me in virtue of the Trust Disposition & Settlement of the deceased Alexander McAllister of Strathaird dated ninth April Eighteen Hundred and Twenty seven. Second a bond by Alexander Kenneth MacKinnon ... for one thousand pounds sterling... Third another sum of one thousand pounds by MacKinnon and five hundred pounds said to have been granted to son Archibald... trustees to sue for amounts owed and are empowered to sell or dispose of the whole as they see fit.
      Proceeds are first to be used to support son Charles; residue shall pertain and belong to my sons Alexander, Lachlan and Norman, the children of my son Archibald Jointly and daughter Catherine, equally between then.
