Eton, then Sandhurst.
Gazetted 2nd Lieut. 14th Hussars 1903 (The London Gazette, issue 28412; page 6332; September 2, 1910).
Served in WW1 in France, Flanders and Mesopotamia in 1914, 1915 and 1916, taking part in the first battle of Ypres; awarded the 1914 Star. Killed in action at Kut-El-Amara 21 May 1916.
Also appears in the 1911 census in the Miltary, India list and is given as absent on the census night.
At time of death lived at 6 Evelyn Mansions, Westminster.
A marble monument to him, in the form of a fallen knight, has been placed in the church at St John's Lee, by Acomb.
